About
Tonalli is a central concept in Nahuatl philosophy and Aztec cosmology, referring to a vital animistic force or "freesoul" that constitutes one of the three primary components of the human essence. It is this that was believed to give humans their souls. In every concert we give, we aim to impart to all of you a piece of us and the composers.
Mission
To promote and showcase rising talent from around the world, with a focus on programming works by lesser-known composers and contemporary classical music. We aim to protect and keep the tradition of classical music alive. Our concerts take place in intimate settings, and all of the music has been crafted the old way. In a world of AI and overwhelming news, we hope our music (made by humans) can provide some solace.
Vision
We aim to support a charity in each concert. With your help, we can make a difference through music. At our home at Burgh House, we aim to keep growing and inviting new audience members to our meetings, and introducing more people to our traditions.
